Currently the General Manager of Collections Information Services at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Oberoi brings extensive experience in IT, software development, digital imaging and online collections. He will assume his new position on April 14, 2014.

Maxwell L. Anderson, The Eugene McDermott Director of the Dallas Museum of Art, announced the appointment of Gavin Delahunty as the new Hoffman Family Senior Curator of Contemporary Art. Currently the Head of Exhibitions and Displays at Tate Liverpool, part of the family of Tate galleries, and previously Curator at Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art, Delahunty is a leading specialist in post-war art with strong experience in expanding contemporary art collections and programs. He will join the DMA in the spring.
The Blanton Museum of Art at The University of Texas at Austin announces the appointment of Dr. Beverly Adams as Adjunct Curator of Latin American Art. Most recently at the Diane and Bruce Halle Collection in Scottsdale, Arizona, Dr. Adams will join the Blanton in January 2014 to oversee and further develop the museum’s longstanding Latin American art program. Dr. Adams received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from UT Austin, and returns to her alma mater with a wide-ranging knowledge of the field, as well as of the Blanton’s Latin American collection.
The Dallas Museum of Art today announced that Jacqueline W. Franey has been named Director of Development; she will begin her new position on December 9, 2013. Franey comes to the Dallas Museum of Art with more than 20 years of fundraising and philanthropic gift planning experience, most recently as Sales Director, Planned Giving at BNY Mellon Wealth Management in Dallas, and with prior service at three major nonprofit institutions based in Dallas, including the Communities Foundation of Texas.

SMU’s Meadows School of the Arts has appointed Clyde Valentín to develop and lead new programs that will integrate artistic practices with community engagement in Dallas and other urban centers across the country. Valentín most recently served as executive director of the New York City-based Hip-Hop Theater Festival (HHTF), where he oversaw its transition to become Hi-ARTS, an arts organization fostering creative, multi-disciplinary work, outreach and education through the hip-hop art and culture movement. He will begin his new role at the Meadows School immediately.
